The route is a stunning 5.5km route around the lanes and streets of Wesham. Starting at St Joseph's Wesham head down Mowbreck Lane. Soon the houses will give way to a bridle path passing Mowbreck caravan park, Mowbreck Hall and a working farm. The views open out to your right where you can see Kirkham town. Continue to the end of Mowbreck Lane, where a right turn takes you on a gentle downhill back towards Kirkham. Shortly after crossing the brook, an immediate right turn will take you onto a traffic-free path fetching you out at the Scout Hut, with St Michael's Church in view. Bear right and then left keeping the Church to your right. At the entrance to the church yard, bear right then sharp left into the Memorial park and through the park on the path.Continue up the sharp uphill keeping Morrisons to your left. At the top of the road, where Kirkham Baths (built in 1908) faces you, turn right. Follow this main path up out of Kirkham, past the train station to your right and back up Station Road then Garstang Road to St Joseph's.
What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon?!
